The small surface of the island is no obstacle to finding surprisingly diverse landscapes. The best thing is that, due to the short distance, we can relax on the coast and then walk along one of the trails among the canary pine or laurel forest species in a short period of time.
El Hierro is a real paradise for divers of all nationalities, who consider the island to be one of the best places in the world for diving. No matter your experience, no matter your level, in El Hierro you will learn to dive thanks to its diving schools.
It is true that there are not many beaches, but you can enjoy the sun and the sea in some of the island's natural pools. Their transparent turquoise waters make them a paradise. The most famous are Charco Azul, La Maceta and La Caleta.
Fresh fish is the star of El Hierro's cuisine. It is a pleasure to taste this dish with the typical 'papas arrugadas' and 'mojo', and of course the exquisite handmade island cheese. Of course, we must mention the quesadilla, the typical sweet of El Hierro. If you go on a trip to El Hierro, you can't leave without trying the wonderful quesadillas, they are delicious!

Tenerife, much more than sun and beach
