Tenerife is the largest island in the Canary archipelago and it is impossible to think of it without visualising Mount Teide, a dormant volcano known for being the highest peak in Spain.
It is also an island that welcomes everyone who arrives, spreading the friendliness and joy of its people.
Beyond the arid south of the island, well known for what is known as the tourist mass, Tenerife hides Laurisilva forests, banana plantations and vineyards "overlooking the sea" and many charming corners.
In the northern part of the island it is very common to discover villages with cobbled streets and large houses such as those found in La Orotava or La Laguna, and to enjoy excellent gastronomy and good Canarian wine in the so-called "guachinches".
And of course its paradisiacal side, its postcard-worthy pools and black sand beaches make Tenerife the ideal place to bathe in the Atlantic.
