Visit to the new La Palma Volcano

You will discover through a guided tour the new Cumbre Vieja volcano in La Palma, which is one of the most active volcanic complexes in the Canary Islands.

You will get as close as possible to the new crater to observe the volcanic lava flows, from the prehistoric to the most recent, and understand how they have been able to completely change some areas of the island.

Along the way we will tell you, with our specialized guides, the consequences that have been generated after the last eruption of September 19, 2021, where the youngest territory of the continent has been created. You will learn about the geology and history of La Palma which will make you feel closer to the place and its inhabitants.

The route will start from the first historical volcano dating back to 1480, the Tacande volcano or also known by the locals as La Montaña Quemada. We will reach the top of the volcano to see what mother nature has been able to create in just a few months.

You will be able to walk through the ash that has been deposited in the area and understand the damage that has been done to the vegetation and the incredible regenerative power of the Canary Island pine.
