(+ OPTIONAL: Dinner at the Parador de Las Cañadas del Teide)
Get close to the stars and discover the Universe very close to the peak of Teide itself. This is one of the most complete stargazing excursions in Tenerife.
With this stargazing in Tenerife you will enjoy astronomical observation from a unique location, the Teide National Park, far from the pollution of urban centres and under one of the best skies in the world.
Thanks to high-end telescopes we will be able to feel closer the wonders of the Cosmos; stars, nebulae, galaxies... and of course, enjoy the view of our neighbors in the solar system, especially Jupiter and Saturn.
If you want your experience to be round, you can add to your experience a dinner at the Parador de las Cañadas del Teide.
Stargazing activity: We start with the astronomical twilight, explaining the visible sky with the naked eye. Basic notions of orientation will teach us how to observe the sky and locate, for example, the North Star.
At nightfall, we will look at the stars and move around the ecliptic, searching for the zodiacal constellations and the visible planets and, making use of Greek mythology, we will try to understand the figures of the most remarkable constellations and the secrets of the universe.
After this, we will move on to observe the most interesting stars of the night with the help of our professional telescope and learn to recognize the constellations with the help of our accredited starlight guide. Seeing the starry sky is magical!
Teide National Park: The place chosen for the activity, the highest volcano in Spain, located in the heart of the National Park, guarantees maximum enjoyment and total safety.
Far from light pollution and thanks to its unique altitude (over 2,000 metres) and above the clouds (trade winds), we will be able to see the sky above our heads in all its fullness and grandeur.
In addition, the night sky observation activity only takes place on nights that are ideal for stargazing. If the night is not optimal or there are adverse weather phenomena, a change of day or a refund will be requested.
Professional astronomy team: The professionalism of the highly qualified and experienced starlight guides, the astronomical instrumentation, the professional telescopes, the quality and transparency of our skies will make you enjoy a unique experience to see the firmament and learn a new archaeoastronomical point of view, that is, about the past and the stars.
They love to share our passion for the night sky in Tenerife, locating the constellations and other lunar wonders where we will enjoy the Teide at night. Live a unique experience with us!
OPTIONAL - We have prepared the option of adding to your experience a dinner at the Parador Las Cañadas del Teide. The Parador is the only building inside the Teide National Park. Its interior decoration is marked by the purest Canarian style, and you will dine under the stars. Dinner time: 18:30 / 19:00 in winter.
The menu will be as follows (it may vary according to the season but always retains its quality):
