Los Tilos forest in La Palma: private excursion

This senda is one of the most popular excursions on the island of La Palma.

Located in the north of the island, the Marcos y Corderos trail, in the Bosque de Los Tilos, runs parallel to the canal that runs through the caldera and collects water from the springs.

How to hike the Bosque de Los Tilos de los Nacientes de Marcos y Cordero trail

We start our journey at the visitor center of Marcos y Cordero, in the forest of Los Tilos. There we will receive explanations.

The trail crosses several ravines dotted with laurel forests and ends at the Barranco del Agua ravine. In addition, in other parts of the route we will enjoy Canary Island pines and native vegetation interspersed in vertical walls that precede the Caldera de Taburiente National Park.

During the tour, we will learn about the history of Marcos y Corderos and understand the place through its vegetation and infrastructure.

If you are wondering about the difficulty of this trail, let me tell you: this itinerary covers 10km and is circular in nature with little gradient, so it is not very difficult but it is a long trail.

During the walk, you will be able to enjoy a km zero picnic made with local products: 'Palmero' cheese sandwich, local sweets, a piece of fruit and water.
