La Palma
This senda is one of the most popular excursions on the island of La Palma.
Located in the north of the island, the Marcos and Cordero trail, in the Bosque de Los Tilos, runs parallel to the canal that runs through the Caldera and collects water from the springs.
We begin our journey at the Marcos y Cordero Visitor Center, in the Los Tilos forest. There we will receive explanations of both springs.
On the trail we can cross several ravines dotted with laurel forest to finish in the Barranco del Agua. In addition, in other parts of the route, we will enjoy Canary Island pines and native vegetation interspersed in vertical walls, which precede the National Park of Caldera de Taburiente.
During the tour, we will learn about the history of Marcos and Cordero and understand the place through its vegetation and infrastructure.
If you are wondering about the difficulty of this trail, let me tell you: this itinerary covers 10km and is circular in nature with little gradient, so it is not very difficult but it is a long trail.
During the trail, you can enjoy a Km0 picnic made with local products: palmero cheese sandwich, island sweets, fruit and water.
