The Caminito del Rey is an aerial senda built on the walls of the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes that has long stretches and a width of just 1 meter.
This excursion is an incredible three-kilometre walk along trails and walkways attached to the wall where the height reaches 105 metres. Do you dare?
The Caminito del Rey has become one of the most important and beautiful trails in Spain, if you come in search of a good adventure and looking for a natural spot in the gorge, what better than to see it from the heights enjoying one of the most "must" excursions in Malaga!
1. Private guide: During the tour you will be accompanied by our guide at all times.
2. Entrance fees: The entrance tickets to the Caminito del Rey are included in the price of this excursion.
3. Starting point: The excursion starts in the municipality of Ardales, crosses the municipality of Antequera, and ends in El Chorro (Álora). This path is hanging on the vertical walls of the gorge and at an average distance of 100 meters above the river.
4. History: This trail was built because the Sociedad Hidroeléctrica del Chorro, owner of Salto del Gaitanejo and Salto del Chorro, needed an access between the two "waterfalls" to facilitate the passage of maintenance workers as well as the transport of materials and their surveillance.
Schedule: At 8:45 am at Calle Trajano nº6, at 8:50 am at Hotel Don Paco (Plaza Padre Jerónimo de Córdoba nº4) and at 9:00 am at Calle Rastro 12A. These pick up points will be the same as at the end of the excursion. These times may vary depending on the schedule assigned to the tickets and according to circumstances of capacity and weather conditions.
