This senda of author has been created with care by experts in native marine fauna with the purpose of offering for almost three hours an out of the ordinary experience: designed to the smallest detail for those sea lovers who will appreciate the natural landscapes of Arona in Tenerife and its marine inhabitants performing a route of Snorkeling with Turtles.

Designed for small groups, lovers of flora and fauna, in particular sea turtles, and above all respectful of the environment. It takes place in the waters of Tenerife South, in the municipality of Arona, island of Tenerife (Canary Islands).

Departure at the Port of Las Galletas

The Senda Snorkel with Turtles starts at Puerto de las Galletas. There a small boat (11 seats) will travel for 30 minutes in the area of the Malpaís de la Rasca.

It is a protected Special Nature Reserve with beautiful volcanic landscapes and natural coves. The guide of the Senda, who is very knowledgeable about the environment, will offer explanations throughout the tour.

Large vessels are not allowed access to this protected area.

Note: The port of departure could change to ‘Los Cristianos’ if the sea conditions make it necessary.

The boat stops in a special area where a large number of native birds nest. This is a privileged place for bird watching. Although it is not part of the snorkelling with turtles activity, if you are a turtle lover, take the opportunity to bring some binoculars.

All the equipment for snorkelling. At this point the guide will hand out the equipment to the participants for swimming with turtles: diving goggles, snorkel, fins and neoprene w etsuit, which offers greater buoyancy, safety and comfort than a lifejacket. This suit also retains body heat better during the hour they will be submerged.

For those participants who have never snorkeled before, the guide will offer free equipment training.

Our expert guide will invite you to dive into the sea at the perfect moment to observe turtles, manta rays and other marine wonders. His deep knowledge of the marine ecosystem will accompany you throughout the tour, sharing his passion for the sea and guaranteeing a personalized experience.

Enjoy an hour exploring the rich marine biodiversity. Swim next to majestic loggerhead turtles and elegant bishop rays, emblematic species of the Canary Islands. Also discover schools of fish such as bogas, fulas, viejas and sargos, protagonists of the vibrant marine ecosystem of the Canary Islands.

Capture unforgettable memories! This activity offers an optional photographic report to the participants for a price of 20€, or if you prefer video for a price of 65€, so you will always remember your best moment of snorkeling with turtles.
