Embark on a unique snorkeling experience in the Cliffs of El Palmar, Tenerife, designed especially for sea and nature lovers. This exclusive route, created with dedication by experts in native marine fauna, offers you almost three hours of immersion in a spectacular marine environment, where you can swim with turtles and manta rays in their natural habitat.
Designed for small and environmentally friendly groups, this activity takes place in the crystal clear waters of southern Tenerife, specifically in the municipality of Arona. Here, participants will be able to enjoy the natural wealth and marine biodiversity of the island, with the peace of mind of knowing that they are contributing to a sustainable experience.
The snorkeling experience with turtles starts at Puerto de Las Galletas. A small boat, with capacity for 11 people, will take you on a 30-minute tour of the Malpaís de la Rasca area, a protected Special Natural Reserve. During this trip, you will enjoy breathtaking volcanic landscapes and natural coves, while the guide, an expert in the environment, shares valuable information about the local fauna and flora.
Due to the protection of the area, only small boats are allowed access, ensuring an exclusive and quiet experience.
*Note: The port of departure can change to Los Cristianos if sea conditions require it.
The boat will stop at a strategic point, ideal for bird watching. Although bird watching is not a main part of the snorkeling activity, it is an excellent opportunity for ornithology lovers, so don't forget to bring your binoculars.
Once at anchor, the guide will provide each participant with the necessary equipment for snorkeling, which includes goggles, snorkel, fins, and a long wetsuit that provides buoyancy, safety, and maintains body heat during the hour you will be submerged. If this is your first time snorkeling, don't worry, our guide will provide training on how to use the equipment.
Dive into the crystal clear waters at the perfect time, guided by our expert who knows in depth the behavior of turtles, manta rays, and other marine species. For one hour, explore Tenerife's marine ecosystem, swimming alongside loggerhead turtles, bishop rays, and diverse schools of fish such as bogas, fulas, viejas, and sargos.
Capture your memories! Don't let these moments slip away. We offer an optional photo reportage for 20€ or a video for 65€, so you will always remember your underwater adventure with turtles and manta rays.
