Since 2017 Cristóbal Tabares has inspired himself with Russian iconography to create this project that tries to make visible the cultural and sexual repression in Russia through art, folklore and colour. Almost 5 years of constant work where culture, art and the normalised currents of the 21st century have played a fundamental role to coincide, unintentionally, with the invasion of Ukraine by the Russians in 2022.
We don't know if coincidences exist or not, but if one thing is clear to us is that equality does and so does art. That's why we want to meet you and Cristóbal Tabares in this meet and greet that will take place in the exhibition hall of the Cabrera Pinto Institute in La Laguna to interpret together the colour of art and equality.
At the end, we will have the opportunity to enjoy a tapa and a drink with the artist in a local restaurant.
