TASTING OF HANDMADE FISHING PRODUCTS BY JORGE BOSCH

On this day, on the occasion of a special event such as the presentation of La Lonja del Mercadillo de Tegueste , we want to offer a gastronomic experience by chef Jorge Bosch based on the Cofradía Pop Up concept, dedicated to the sublime tasting of the original product of artisanal fishing.

Within the framework of the gastronomic days of artisanal fishing, a gastronomic space is created that offers a culinary journey that aims to value the tasks of artisanal fishing and its contribution to the sustainability of the planet. Four tapas will be offered paired with four excellent wines from the Tenerife Northeast region.

An ideal option to awaken the senses and let yourself go. The gastronomic proposal will be developed by the Table of Gastronomy Tenerife Northeast in which different people of gastronomic and wine importance will be cited.

  • Yellow sweet potato salad with salted fish crumbs and glass of wine commented by Bodega El Lomo.
  • Updated grape harvest snack and glass of wine with commentary by Bodega Marba.
  • Cazuela de chopitos y papas borralla and glass of wine commented by Bodega Monje.
  • Salmorejo with local tuna ham and glass of wine commented by Bodega Linaje del Pago.

We will end this experience with a sweet moment, elaborated with km zero products from the region and its surroundings.

GASTROFISHING DAY

To complete this experience, it is recommended that attendees come to the Market early in the morning to enjoy other experiences that will take place throughout the morning.

11:00 am Presentation of the Fishermen's Market, Mercadillo de Tegueste

11:30 am Talk on the sustainability of artisanal fishing in Tenerife, given by Katiuska González Campos, manager of the Tenerife Coastal Action Group.

12:00 pm Showcooking, demonstration of a 'sardinada' with tasting of the same. By Chef Jorge Bosch, director of the Table of Gastronomy Tenerife Northeast where the quality of the product from artisanal fishing, the sardine, a product of high nutritional value and that with a good cooking technique can be really tasty.

Meeting Point: Tegueste Farmer's Market

Starting time: 13:00 pm (arrive at 11:00 am if you want to enjoy the whole day).

Activity duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
