Famtastic: gastronomic arts nights

The skies of the Canary Islands are one of the world references in the observation and knowledge of the universe. That is why Famtàstic dedicates one night of its 2023 edition to (G)Astronomy, bringing us closer to the knowledge of outer space through multidisciplinary content with its "Space Special" session.

The night will begin with the selection of short films "Interstellar", which combines fun and informative, humor and drama, reality and science fiction. The gastronomic proposal is in charge of the surprising cuisine of the chef awarded in 2023 with a REPSOL Sun, Diana Marcelino, from the restaurant El Secreto de Chimiche, who together with the astrophysicist-divulgador Alfred Rosenberg, from the Instituto Astrofísico de Canarias (IAC), have designed three exclusive tastings that will transport us to planets, stars, galaxies... The night continues with the live set of the musician, producer and composer Resonance, who proposes a sonorous journey through the cosmos. In addition, the Famtàstic would like to thank the IAC for their contribution to this galactic session by opening the doors to the exhibition "100 Square Moons".

Are you more into ketchup or blood? Do you prefer a few laughs or an "ouch!"? Do you choose katana, a STAR Model B, hammer, machine gun or flamethrower?

We will start with Kill'em all, a selection of short films brought directly from Seoul (thanks friends of SeSIFF and SMIFF, once again). On this occasion, gastronomy will go beyond the hidden and surprising pleasures of the hand and palate of Diego Schattenhofer and his team (great team) of the 1973 Taste restaurant (Hotel Europe Villa Cortés 5*GL) that with its method question - create - cook will open our senses to sustainable cuisine, prepared with raw material from the Fishermen's Guild Nª Sª de Las Mercedes (Tenerife).

And we continue with a performance never seen before: a soprano vs a metal band, a beauty challenging a beast. Beauty meets her beast, The wonderful voice of Sonia Hernández Amador (soprano) vs the heartbreaking sound of Semper.

- Three "Space Gastronomic" tastings prepared exclusively for the evening by chef Diana Marcelino (one Sol REPSOL) with the advice of astrophysicist Alfred Rosenberg (IAC).

- Welcome glass of wine D.O.

BRUTAL TENERIFE
