Tenerife North Viewpoints

The Ortuño viewpoint is located in La Victoria de Acentejo, municipality, on the TF - 24 road, after kilometre 19.
From this viewpoint you can see the northeast coast of the island and a spectacular panoramic view of the National Park, where you can catch a glimpse of the peak of Teide.
It is the ideal viewpoint to appreciate the characteristic "sea of clouds", which create the illusion that the island is floating in the sky. If the weather conditions are ideal, you can also see the neighbouring island of La Palma.
THE CUMBRES DEL NORTE OR THE CHIPEQUE VIEWPOINT
The Cumbres del Norte or Chipeque viewpoint is located in Santa Úrsula municipality, on the TF - 24 road, at kilometre 26.
From this viewpoint it is located in the Chipeque mountain, at 1830 meters high, you have magnificent views of the Teide Mountain, the midlands of the Orotava Valley, the island of La Palma, the north coast that runs from Punta del Hidalgo to Punta Teno and the majestic pine forest.
THE HUMBOLDT VIEWPOINT
The Humboldt viewpoint is located in La Orotava municipality, on the TF-21 road, 21 kilometers.
In this viewpoint, you can observe the esplendid views of Orotava Valley and its banana tree cultivation, as you can see in Los Realejos and Puerto de la Cruz municipalities. Also you can contemplate the landscape background, a part of Teide.
Curiosity: This viewpoint is named after the scientist and naturalist Alexander Von Humboldt, who was amazed by the beauty of the Orotava valley and its magnificent views when he visited Tenerife in the 18th century. Visiting that, he recorded in his book of master chronicles, where he describes these views.
LA CORONA VIEWPOINT
The Corona viewpoint is located in the municipality of Los Realejos, on the TF-342 road.
From this viewpoint you can see the municipalities of Puerto de la Cruz, Los Realejos and the Orotava Valley.
In addition, if you are a lover of paragliding and free flight or you are thinking of doing these experiences, you should know that due to the climatic conditions, altitude and location of this viewpoint, it is the ideal point to practice them.
MIRADOR EL LANCE
The El Lance viewpoint is located in the municipality of Los Realejos, on the slope of Tigaiga, on the TF-342 road, at kilometre 5.
From this viewpoint, you can marvel at the incredible views of the municipalities of Los Realejos and La Orotava and the area of the northeast coast of the island. In addition, it is a good place to take a break and quietly contemplate the landscape, since it has a cafeteria and terrace service.
Curiosity: this viewpoint gets its name from the fact that in the past tree trunks were thrown from this point towards the vicinity of the Tigaigaiga sawmill, in order to obtain wood from them.
Furthermore, as you can see, this viewpoint is characterised by its bronze sculpture of Mencey Bentor, after being defeated in the battle against the Castilian troops, who managed to conquer the island.
THE EMIGRANT VIEWPOINT
The Emigrante viewpoint is located in the municipality of Garachico, on the TF-42 road, in the Risco Partido that is located above the Garachico beach.
From this viewpoint, you will have wonderful views of the town of Garachico, its beach and natural pools, as well as the two tongues of lava from the Arena Negra volcano.
Curiosity: this viewpoint is a monument in honor of those who migrated to the Americas in search of a better condition of life and employment.
THE PUNTA DE TENO VIEWPOINT
The Punta de Teno viewpoint is located in the municipality of Buenavista del Norte, at the end of the TF - 445 road, and belongs to the Teno Rural Park.
In this viewpoint it is the westernmost point of the island of Tenerife and from which you will have incredible views of the Los Gigantes Cliffs and the entire north coast of the island.
THE CHERFE VIEWPOINT
The Cherfe viewpoint is located in the Teno Rural Park, connecting the municipalities of Buenavista del Norte and Santiago del Teide and is located on the TF - 436 road.
From this viewpoint, you will find spectacular views of the Barranco de Masca, as well as its farmhouse. You can also contemplate the Teno mountains, Teide Mountain and the islands of La Gomera and La Palma.
THE MINES OF SAN JOSÉ
The viewpoint of the Minas de San José is located in the municipality of La Orotava and is situated within the Teide National Park, on the TF-21 road.
The views that you will find in this viewpoint are very different from those of the other viewpoints, since the panoramic is characterized by being a golden gravel plain that has an air similar to that of a desert, but with volcanic type rock formations.

THE MONTAÑA BERMEJA VIEWPOINT
The viewpoint of Montaña Bermeja is located in the Corona Forestal Natural Park in the municipality of La Orotava, on the TF-21 road.
This viewpoint presents an unique landscape of the Forest Crown of the park, the "sea of clouds" and the Teide Mountain.
Warning: in order to access this viewpoint you have to follow a small path, which starts from the free car park below.
THE PICO VIEJO VIEWPOINT
The Pico Viejo viewpoint is located on the summit of Mount Teide, which is in the municipality of La Orotava.
In this viewpoint you will have spectacular views from the highest mountain on the island of Tenerife. From it, you will be able to appreciate the crater of Pico Viejo del Teide, the Llanos de Ucanca, the Roques de García and the Degollada de Guajara.
If you go up to the Pico Viejo one day where the sky is clear you will be able to observe incredible views of the islands of La Gomera, La Palma and El Hierro.
Important note: to access this viewpoint it is necessary to use the Teide National Park cable car and ask for permission to climb the peak of Teide.

THE AGUAIDE VIEWPOINT
The Aguaide viewpoint is located at the end of the road to Chinamada, in the Carboneras area.
This viewpoint offers incredible views of La Punta del Hidalgo and Roque de los Hermanos. In addition, if you positioning yourself on a cliff 500 meters high, you will be able to observe the majestic Atlantic Ocean.
Important note: in order to access this viewpoint it is necessary to follow part of the path to the road to Chinamada.
THE PUNTA DEL HIDALGO VIEWPOINT
The Punta del Hidalgo viewpoint is located in the coastal area of La Laguna, on the TF - 13 road.
From this viewpoint you can see a wonderful view of the coast of Punta del Hidalgo, as well as its majestic lighthouse.
Important note: to access this viewpoint you can do so by car or via the Punta del Hidalgo trail.
THE BOQUERÓN VIEWPOINT
The Boquerón viewpoint is located between the areas of Valle de Guerra and Guamasa, on the TF-156 road.
This viewpoint has views of very agricultural characteristics. From it you can see the Valle de Guerra region, Mesa de Tejina, Tejina, Punta del Hidalgo, part of the Anaga Rural Park and Roque del Boquerón.
Curiosity: This viewpoint gets its name from the Roque del Boquerón located in the lower part of it, which represents a sample of recent volcanic activity in La Calderita and Valle Molina.
THE JARDINA VIEWPOINT
The Jardina viewpoint is located at the beginning of the Anaga Rural Park, at the 25th kilometre of the TF - 12 road.
This viewpoint offers wonderful views of the city of La Laguna, as well as fields of crops, small towns and diverse vegetation. Also, if you visit this viewpoint on a good sunny day, you can glimpse Teide in the distance.
THE CRUZ DEL CARMEN VIEWPOINT
The Cruz del Carmen viewpoint is located further into the Anaga Rural Park, on the TF - 12 road, kilometre 23.
This viewpoint offers you an amazing panoramic view of la Vega Lagumera, Teide and all the zone of this island.
If you are passionate about hiking or want to know a little more about the nature that surrounds Anaga, this viewpoint is the starting point for different trails such as the Path of the Senses.
THE PICO DEL INGLÉS VIEWPOINT
The Pico del Inglés viewpoint is located in the municipality of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, also within the Anaga Rural Park, on the TF - 114 road.
This viewpoint has wonderful views of the Anaga Massif as far as the city of Santa Cruz. If you go on a day when the sky is sunny and clear you can also see the Teide Mountain and the islands of Gran Canaria and La Palma.

The Archipenque viewpoint is located in the coastal area of the municipality of Santiago del Teide, on the 6th kilometre of the TF - 454 road.

THE CHIÑAMA VIEWPOINT
The Chiñama viewpoint is located in the upper part of the municipality of Granadilla de Abona, on the TF - 28 road.
From this viewpoint, you will have amazing views of the south coast zone of the island, and of the Granadilla and the Médano town, also of The Montaña Roja.
THE MONTAÑA AMARILLA VIEWPOINT
The Montaña Amarilla viewpoint is located in the coastal area of the municipality of San Miguel de Abona.
From this viewpoint, you can observe amazing views of the Montaña Amarilla, which was the result of a marine eruption, therefore it was formed by a set of volcanoes perfectly aligned.
