The village of Masca, located within the Teno Massif, is one of the most charming places on the island of Tenerife.
The characteristics of this place, together with the Barranco de Masca, is the perfect fusion of a spectacular natural landscape (vertiginous vertical walls) and the modeling of the terrain due to the agricultural use of man over the years.
The Barranco de Masca is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular hiking activities we can do in Tenerife.
This is a demanding activity because of its significant hardness, which begins with a short walk in the traditional hamlet, and then begin to descend the path through the Barranco de Masca, about 10 km (round trip).
After a steady descent, the path ends in a paradisiacal cove, surrounded by the Los Gigantes Cliffs, about 450 meters above sea level. And after a short rest, you must face the return, now in ascending direction from the 0 level to approximately 600 meters above sea level where the farmhouse is located.
VERY IMPORTANT: In case of not fulfilling any of the conditions, norms, equipment and necessary documentation, the personnel of the company in charge of the control of the trail (TRAGSA) will deny access and no refund will be made (Pay special attention to the footwear. It must be mountain shoes with good tread on the sole).
IMPORTANT: Once the purchase has been made, it is pending conformity for a maximum period of 72 hours. Please note that we cannot confirm your reservation until we have issued the access permits managed by Camino de Masca. In case we cannot confirm the reservation, we will offer you an alternative date or proceed to refund the paid amount.
