Water parks in the Canary Islands

You can't plan a holiday in the archipelago without first contemplating themed aquaparks with endless slides, rapids, wave pools, a wonderfully relaxing spa or countless activities that can make your experience in the Canary Islands incredible. Shall we start our list of favourites?

Siam Park

Buy tickets here.

This water park simulating Thai architecture is located in the south of Tenerife, Costa Adeje and is one of the largest in Europe.

Let yourself be seduced by the stunning white sandy beach where you can try first hand the world's largest man-made wave, up to three metres high, or if you prefer peace and quiet, relax on the exotic promenade of the crystal clear waters of the Mai Thai River.

You can enjoy this space with your family, with The Lost City, or with friends and enjoy Mekong Rapids, or Vulcano among others.

In addition, if adrenaline is your thing, Siam Park has attractions such as The Tower of Power, a 28 m high slide where you can reach a speed of up to 80 km/h to finish the ride seeing a giant aquarium of sharks and manta rays or Singha, a water roller coaster with high-speed curves and 14 changes of direction.

In summer, you have the option of the Siam Night that you can enjoy during the summer holidays, as it takes place during the months of July and August in which you can live a night experience full of adrenaline, fun and live DJs.

Aqualand

Aqualand Costa Adeje is a unique combination of a water park and a spectacular dolphinarium. On the one hand, its dolphinarium is cared for down to the smallest detail. Among its attractions, we can find up to three different types:

Adrenaline, with thrilling curves and slides such as Tsunami or Cyclones, Anaconda more than 21 metres high each, Gravivty, which is 20 metres high with 3 Uphill and the famous Tornado are some of the attractions of Aqualand. Areas such as KidzWorld, where the little ones have their space reserved for them.

On the other hand, if you want a relaxing evening, you might be interested in the Chill Out & Play area, with Jacuzzis or the Lava River attraction, which consists of a 500-metre-long route surrounded by waterfalls and a large volcano.

I recommend you to buy your tickets through the official website the day before as you can find offers for residents and non-residents that are not available at the ticket office.

For example, if you go as a family or group of 4 adults you can buy online the Friends Pack cheaper than the usual tickets or special promotion of a ticket + menu.

It is worth noting that not only Tenerife has this water park, but we can also enjoy these fabulous water attractions in Aqualand Maspalomas, located on the island of Gran Canaria but without the possibility of enjoying the dolphin show that is offered in Tenerife, however, in Gran Canaria, you can enjoy the unforgettable experience of a swim with sea lions and be able to meet these fantastic animals up close.

Aquapark Costa Teguise

Located in Lanzarote, this is the largest water park on the island. In addition to its aquatic facilities, it has 10D cinema, with FULL HD projection for you to enjoy with all your senses the films with effects such as snow, shaking chairs or water jets among others, while the film is projected, it also contains a wide range of films for the whole family.

Another activity you could do here is to enjoy Lanzarote's only indoor Paint Ball court with your friends, or with the family with various forms of play such as team duels, capture the flag, last man standing, last man standing, all against all ETC.

After you've gone down the water slides, you can opt for a zip-line circuit with the climbing wall inside, so you can climb its moving bridges and go through obstacle courses.

Aqualava Waterpark

This small sustainable tourist attraction is ideal for those looking to combine fun and relaxation, due to its varied attractions for the whole family. It is noted for the sustainability of its facilities as the water in the pools is heated by geothermal energy.

Located in the tourist centre of Playa Blanca, in Lanzarote, they contain artificial wave pools, areas for children called CorsarioBay , which is surrounded by a pool with several slides.

If you are a lover of tranquillity and relaxation, your favourite attraction will be the Magma river, a pool with a slow current and acclimatised water in which you can float and let yourself be carried away.

Acua Water Park

Located in the north of the island of Fuerteventura, in Corralejo, this park has dozens of attractions and activities, changing rooms, shops, solarium, and different restaurants.

The park offers attractions for all tastes and ages: a slow river that contrasts with the speed of the rest of the park's attractions, swimming pools with waves that recreate the sensation of being in the sea, children's club, kamikazes, etc.

Of their facilities, I recommend the fast river, the kamikaze, the curved tracks and the dark cave if you like speed and the soft tracks if you prefer to compete with your friends or family.

The best park - My personal opinion

Personally, Siam Park is number one in my ranking.

I am the number one fan of the Tower of Power at Siam Park, as I love to feel adrenaline in every attraction, so, if you have visited or plan to visit any of these water parks, which one would you choose or which water attraction do you like the most?
