Itinerary description

DAY 1: Arrival in Tenerife and welcome dinner

Arrival at Los Realejos airport and collection of rental car.

We will stay in a Canarian Casona "Caserío El Boquerón" from the 18th century with spectacular mountain views. It has vineyards and charming houses to enjoy with your partner on your honeymoon.

On the same day we will enjoy a Canarian welcome dinner in the open air with the best chefs of Tenerife.

Note: the dinner will be held with a minimum of 2 people up to 10.

Day 2: Historical and cultural hike "Los Auchones: Guanches de Anaga" and lunch in front of the sea

Taganana was an area inhabited by the Guanches since at least the 1st century BC. It is said to be the best place to interpret the passage of this society, still conserving the original name with which the first inhabitants christened it.

It is the most important population centre in the Anaga Rural Park, also within the Biosphere Reserve of the same name.

Through a three-hour walking tour, we will visit places of aboriginal worship and ancient necropolises, we will observe the signs that our ancestors left us written in stone to understand their magical and religious world, we will learn about the mystery of the origin of the settlement of the Canary Islands and the way in which the Guanche society survived.

We will also explain in situ the 16th and 17th centuries in Tenerife, the sugar cane and wine production industries, mainly for export to Antwerp, Plymouth and America.

Day 3: Visit San Cristóbal de La Laguna: Gastronomy, Culture and Legends

We will visit the only city in the Canary Islands declared a World Heritage Site, where you can discover the city of San Cristóbal de La Laguna combining its most precious jewels: its heritage, its culture, its architecture and its gastronomy.

We will leave from the Plaza del Adelantado where we will meet to begin our route through the heart of San Cristóbal de La Laguna.

We will start in the historic centre of La Laguna, a 16th century city that has managed to maintain a balance between a historic city and a young, dynamic and cultural university city.

This is a unique tour where we can appreciate the union between tradition and modernity that surrounds this city in Tenerife, the only one in the archipelago that has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

During the walk through the city, we will be able to visit emblematic buildings, including the Lercaro Palace, home to the Museum of History and Anthropology of Tenerife (MHA). This place hides many treasures and legends that will take us back to past centuries.

During the tour, we will stop for tapas in the city's tapas bars accompanied by wine or juice.

Day 4: Orotava, wineries and Puerto de la Cruz

The visit to La Orotava and Puerto de la Cruz is a free visit including entrance fees.

La Orotava is a municipality in the north of Santa Cruz de Tenerife founded at the end of the 15th century and whose capital is located in the Villa de La Orotava. This town was declared a National Historic-Artistic Site in 1976 and its historic quarter is well worth a visit, as it is considered one of the most beautiful towns in Tenerife.

This visit includes tickets to La Casa de los Balcones, audio-guide, tasting of a glass of wine and mojos.

Afterwards, we will head to El Sauzal where we will take a guided tour of the winery and vineyards of Bodegas Monje, where we will taste their wines with an aperitif. For lunch, the winery will give you a picnic lunch to enjoy in the middle of the vineyards to watch the sunset.

The winery is located in "La Hollera", an exceptional enclave in the municipality of El Sauzal, where we can also enjoy spectacular views of the Teide.

The perfect place to enjoy a spectacular dinner is a visit to Puerto de la Cruz.

Day 5: Teide National Park and Stargazing

This day we change accommodation to stay in the south of the island. The accommodation is La Casona del Patio, a 4 star hotel located in Santiago del Teide, 5 minutes drive from the rural park of Teno and surrounded by nature.

For the change of accommodation, we will enjoy a spectacular route along the road to the south, which runs through the Teide National Park. In addition, we will get to know the Teide National Park with or without a guide (optional). The guide will offer you interesting information to get to know the park in depth.

The visit to the National Park will require you to dress warmly, as we will be at an altitude of 3,718 metres and tickets for the cable car to and fromthe park are included.

After sunset, at nightfall, we will experience the astronomical observation of this island from the Teide National ParkThe stars from the highest mountain in Spain, far from the pollution of the urban centres and under one of the best skies in the world!

Thanks to high-end telescopes we will be able to feel the wonders of the Cosmos closer; stars, nebulae, galaxies... and of course, enjoy the view of our neighbours in the solar system, especially Jupiter and Saturn.

Day 6: Snorkelling with turtles or cetaceans eco experience

In Tenerife South, we will depart from the Port of La Galletas, on a boat that will take us along the coast of the south of Tenerife.

The boat trip includes an interpretation of the marine and terrestrial ecosystems of the coast of this part of the island and we will be accompanied at all times by an expert instructor who will give us all the instructions related to the activity.

We will go to snorkelling among turtles for an hour, surrounded by sandy beaches, reefs and an attractive aquatic moonscape.

Sweet tabaibas, pineapples and sea lettuce, kestrels, tomato warblers, catalufas and moray eels are just some of the many species you will have the chance to spot - perfect for couples looking for a real experience!
